The Events Calendar is available to members and non-members, as such it is a very useful resource for anyone wishing to promote relevant education. If you are involved in a meeting or course or you are aware of an event that you think your colleagues should know about simply click on the Events Calendar at the top of the screen, then click on Add Event and fill in the on-screen tables. The on screen prompts make using the calendar very straightforward. As a precautionary measure all data submitted is checked at the BSOI office prior to publication on the website.
The Downloads area is a members only facility. This provides a resource where you can view case studies and a variety of documents relating to implant dentistry. A section entitiled Reviews has been recently added where you can find reviews of journal articles, text books, courses and equipment. An image library is also available in this section of the site. Powerpoint presentations are also available. All of this material is downloadable for use by members. As a member you are encouraged to Communicate and Educate by adding material to the Downloads area. As with the events calendar onscreen prompts make using this section a very simple process.
The BSOI forum available only to members provides the perfect platform to discuss and debate relevant issues. Documents found in the library can be reviewed in the forum. Requests for information or peer advice can be posted and members then have the opportunity not only to respond withe their own views but also to upload relevant information to the library.
Useful Links is a part of the website available to everyone. An area where the list of useful web links includes sites where you can check for GDC registration status of Implant qualiifications, a list of institutions offereing implant education and training. From here you can visit other Implant and Dental Organizations you can even shop online for instruments and materials, refresh your knowledge of anatomy and much more.
Videos is available primarily only to members. With categories such as Aesthetics, Study Clubs, Surgery, Restorative, Systems, Technical and General this promises to be a popular area for members.
